Troubleshooting the TQI log page

This page is for anyone who opens the TQI log page and sees an empty table, the wrong month or an error.

Why does the TQI log page say "No TQI loaded"?

The page shows "No TQI loaded for or the six months before it." when no TQI has been uploaded for the month you chose or any of the six months before it, for the selected vehicle class group. It then lists three steps: sign in to the MOT testing service and open Test quality information, choose the month and download the CSV, and upload it with your test logs. Select Upload TQI to do that. See Getting TQI into MOTLogs.

Check too that the class group selector matches the file you uploaded. A Group B file does not appear under Classes 1 and 2.

When the month you chose has no TQI

DVSA publishes TQI for the last full month, so the month you chose is often empty. When that happens MOTLogs looks back up to six months and shows the newest month it finds. A note appears: Showing Sep 2026 · no TQI loaded for Oct 2026 yet. and the summary line adds ", the latest month DVSA has published".

The table is real data from that earlier month, so figures can differ from the month you chose. Upload the file for the month you want to remove the note.

Why do I see a "small sample" flag?

The tester did fewer than 30 tests that month for that vehicle group. Their cells can be Watch but not Outlier. Read the figure with care. See Reading the TQI table.

Why is a tester missing from the table?

Testers appear only if they are in the DVSA file you uploaded. A tester with no tests in that group and month is not in DVSA's file. Retired testers are not shown on this page.

What if I see an error toast?

Messages that can appear are a network problem notice, or a failure "load test quality information" or "open test quality information". Refresh the page and try again. If the table still does not load, check your connection and that you have picked an organisation in the top bar.

Why can't I click a cell?

Cells in Site avg and columns with no DVSA user ID do not open the comment dialog. Cells showing – have no figure to comment on.
