Commenting on and attesting a TQI figure

This page is for quality control managers and Authorised Examiners who need to record that they have reviewed a tester's TQI figure, with a note and optional photo as evidence.

How do I comment on a TQI figure?

1. Open the TQI log page (/membersarea/tqi) for the station and month.
2. Select the figure you want to record against. Every cell in a tester column is a button.
3. A dialog opens titled Comment on this TQI - <measure> / <figure>, for example Comment on this TQI - Tests failed / 24%.
4. Fill in the form (below).
5. Select Submit.

A comment belongs to one tester, one measure, one station and one month. Reopening the same cell shows what you saved before. To close without saving, select Close.

Cells in the Site avg column do not open the dialog. Columns without a real DVSA user ID do not either.

What is in the comment form?

The same form is also available at /membersarea/TestQualityInformationAttestation. Opened directly it has no tester or measure attached, so use the dialog from the TQI log page instead.

How do I attach an image?

In the Upload Image section, choose a file. It uploads straight away. Only .png, .jpg and .jpeg are allowed, and only one image per figure. MOTLogs shrinks the image to fit within 640 by 480 before saving. Until an image is attached the panel reads "No image attached". To remove a saved image, select the bin icon beside the preview and then Submit.

What happens when I submit?

A green message reads "Your TQI metric has been attested", and the dialog closes. The message appears whether or not you ticked Mark as complete; the tick is what records the figure as complete. If saving fails, an error message appears and the dialog stays open.

Saving also refreshes the cached months in the signed-in area so other pages show the change at once.

Does attesting change the colour of the figure?

No. The cell colour is based only on the distance from national. The comment and the Mark as complete tick are stored as your record that the figure was reviewed. The Performance page has tiles called TQI Outliers and TQI Outliers Attested; see Performance tiles.
