Missing a monthly sign-off

This page is for station owners and Authorised Examiners who want to know what happens if a month is not signed off on time.

What does MOTLogs do if I miss a month?

MOTLogs does not lock the month, block your account or change your figures. A site you have not signed off simply stays as Ready (or Needs justification if flagged tests still lack comments) on the Monthly sign-off page. MOTLogs has no deadline setting for sign-off.

Can I sign off a past month late?

Yes. Choose the earlier month in the Month dropdown. The last 12 full months are listed. The sign-off row shows the date you signed, so a late sign-off is visible as late.

What if the month is older than 12 months?

Older months are not in the Month dropdown. The page can still open a month outside the window if a remembered or linked month points to it. Otherwise you cannot sign off months more than a year old.

How do I see which sites I have missed?

Open Monthly sign-off and choose All organisations. Rows labelled Needs justification or Ready have not been signed. The summary line gives the totals.

Does MOTLogs remind me to sign off?

The code for the Monthly sign-off page contains no reminder or deadline. The only email MOTLogs sends is the confirmation after a sign-off is saved. Put the sign-off in your own monthly routine.
