The TQI vs national card

This page is for AEs and quality control managers who want to see how each tester's Test Quality Information (TQI) compares with the national average.

What does the TQI vs national card show?

TQI is a monthly DVSA download. The TQI vs national card, headed Classes 3, 4, 5, 7 (%), is a heat map of up to eight testers (rows) against up to six TQI measures (columns), with a final row named National.

Each cell shows the tester's percentage for that measure. The six columns are the measures where the most testers are outliers. The measure Tests failed is not a column; it feeds the fail rate tile instead.

What do the cell colours and arrows mean?

The arrow means the figure is outside your thresholds, not that it is wrong. The thresholds can be changed from the Metrics option in the ... menu of each section page. See The page header and the ... menu.

Why does it say "Showing Jun 2026"?

DVSA publishes TQI for the last full month, so the chosen month often has none. When it has no TQI, MOTLogs uses the latest month with TQI, looking back up to six months, and shows Showing Jun 2026 in the card header. The footer repeats that TQI for the chosen month has not been loaded. The fail rate tile and the test duration comparison use the same month.

What if the card shows a message instead of a heat map?
