Photo, description and preferences on your profile

This page is for signed-in users who want to add a profile photo, enter a DVSA user ID, or control emails from MOTLogs.

How do I add or change my profile photo?

To add a photo, go to the right-hand side of the Profile tab and use the upload box. Select Browse and choose a file.

• Allowed file types are .png, .jpg and .jpeg. Only one file can be added at a time.
• The upload starts automatically and shows a preview in the box.
• MOTLogs resizes the image to fit within 320 by 240 pixels.
• The photo is not saved until you select Submit at the bottom of the tab.

To discard a chosen photo before saving, select the remove icon (titled "Remove") on the preview. After saving, your photo appears in the avatar at the top right and in the picture above the upload box.

What is the DVSA User field for?

DVSA User holds your DVSA user ID. If you are a tester, enter it exactly as DVSA shows it and select Submit.

The "My work" list on the Overview can prompt you to complete this field and takes you straight to it.

What does the No emails checkbox do?

No emails records that you do not want email from MOTLogs. Tick it and select Submit; the choice is saved with your profile and is still ticked when you come back.

Emails you ask for yourself are always sent, whatever this setting says: sign-in codes, passcode reminders and email verification. If you keep receiving other emails after ticking No emails, contact MOTLogs and ask for them to be switched off.

Is there a notifications setting?

The bell icon in the top bar is labelled Notifications but is currently a placeholder. There is no notifications feed, and no other notification preferences exist besides No emails.

What is the Description box?

Description is a free-text note about you. Type in the multi-line box and select Submit to save it.
