Certificate details and downloads
This page is for station owners, AEs and quality control managers who want to open a compliance certificate record or save the certificate file.
How do I see the details of a certificate?
- Open Certificates in the sidebar.
- Click a row (anywhere except the download icon).
A window opens titled Certificate - followed by the stored certificate file name. It shows these read-only fields:
- Site Number
- DVSA User and DVSA User Name
- Certificate: the stored file name
- Certificate Type
- Document type: the media type of the file, for example
application/pdf - Start Date and End Date. An open-ended certificate shows a far-future end date here (31 Dec 9999) rather than "No end date".
Below the fields is a "Download" line with an icon. Close the window with Close or the cross at the top right. There is no Save button; the window cannot change the certificate.
How do I download a certificate?
Click the download icon at the start of a certificate row, or the icon in the details window. The file opens in a new browser tab using its own media type, so a PDF or image displays in the browser.
What if the download says not found?
The download returns a "not found" page when:
- the certificate has no stored file, for example the record was created without a scan;
- the stored file has been removed;
- the file name or media type is not in the expected form.
Contact support with the station ID, certificate type and end date.
Can I open a certificate details address directly?
The address /membersarea/ComplianceEdit only supplies the window above. Opened on its own it shows an empty form. Use Certificates and click the row.
