My work: a tester's own month
This page is for MOT testers, and for managers without a tester id. It explains what My work shows, how to get it, and what each state means.
What is My work?
My work shows one tester's own month: the number of tests, the tests that need a second look, and the tester's fail rate against the national figure. It opens at /membersarea/mywork and its heading is Your month at a glance.
The sidebar item My work (Overview group) only appears if your profile has a DVSA tester id. If you cannot see it, add the id first.
How do I get My work?
- Open Profile from the account menu or the sidebar.
- Enter your DVSA tester id in the field labelled DVSA User.
- Save your profile.
- Open My work.
MOTLogs matches the id against the tests in your organisations' logs. MOTLogs shows the latest of the last four months that has any tests for you, and the subtitle reads your id and that month, for example ABCD1234 ยท September 2026.
What does My work show?
When you have tests, you see three tiles and two cards.
- Tests in (month): your number of tests, with the change against the month before.
- At-risk tests: how many of your tests are flagged. It reads
None need a lookwhen zero, otherwiseWorth a second look. - Your fail rate: your percentage of failed tests, compared with the national figure, with
at or under nationalorover national. - Tests to take a look at: up to 8 flagged tests with Registration, Site, When and Status. Status is At-risk, shown as High or Medium, or Reviewed with a tick once someone has attested it.
- Your TQI vs national: up to six TQI measures for test classes 3, 4, 5 and 7, each marked In line or Above national.
You cannot review a test from My work. The footer says your site manager or examiner reviews these, and links to Open the full MOT log.
What if My work is empty?
- No tester id on your profile and you are not a manager: you see a message asking you to add your DVSA tester id to your profile.
- No tests found:
No tests recorded for (id) in the last few months. They will show up here as soon as they are uploaded.Upload the logs, or check the id for typos. - Could not load: the subtitle reads
We couldn't load your tests just now. Reload the page. - No flagged tests:
Nothing flagged this month. Nice work. - No TQI yet:
Your quality figures for this month aren't available yet.
What do managers see instead?
If you have no tester id but can sign off a station (Authorised Examiner, delegate or consultant), My work shows Your organisation in (month) for the last full month. It lists the tests across your sites, the at-risk tests still to justify, and how many sites are signed off. Buttons: Open Overview, Testers and Monthly sign-off.
Because the My work menu item only appears with a tester id, managers reach this view only by typing the address or following a link.
