The Tester comparison card

This page is for quality control managers and AEs who want to see which testers need attention at a glance.

What does the Tester comparison card show?

The Tester comparison card lists up to six testers who tested in the chosen month, with one row each:

Testers are sorted by at-risk tests, highest first, then by number of tests. Only the top six appear. To see everyone, open the Testers page.

How do I read the fail rate bar?

The bar length is relative: the widest of the visible fail rates, and the national figure, fills the bar's track. Compare lengths between rows on the card, not against a fixed scale. The tick mark is the national average for classes 3, 4, 5 and 7 from your TQI file. If no TQI is loaded, the tick is absent and the footer reads bar = fail rate.

The tester's fail rate counts all of the tester's tests with a result, in every vehicle class, whereas the national tick is for classes 3, 4, 5 and 7 only. Treat a tester who tests other classes with care when comparing with the tick.

Where does a tester name take me?

Select a tester's name to open the MOT test log filtered to that tester and month. If the tester has at-risk tests, the log opens with the at-risk filter on. The tooltip says Open <tester>'s at-risk tests in the MOT log or Open <tester>'s tests in the MOT log.

What does an empty Tester comparison card mean?

No tester activity this period means the chosen month has no tests. Select Upload logs to add the month's log.
